I've recently been doing a lot of purple and tweed - not to be confused with purple and weed.

Tweed feels very collegiate to me.
Very ivy league in the fall. Or community college in the winter.
Very "professorial" not to be confused with "professional" - but I suppose that too.
Very "Ted" from How I Met your Mother.
