Movies by Megan

I've been watching a lot of movies lately and feel compelled to inform you of the good ones. The following four films all receive two thumbs up from yours truly;

The Oranges -  I knew Leighton Meester & Adam Brody were dating and now I know how that happened! They did this movie together, which, spoiler alert is super funny! Adam Brody has a small part while Leighton headlines the film but I loved it and laughed out loud throughout. Two thumbs up!

Safe Haven - Don't believe anything you read in the tabloids - this movie, and this movie alone, is the reason Julianne Hough broke up with Seacrest. After you have pretend sex with Josh Duhamel all day its got to be anticlimactic (literally!) to have real sex with Seacrest. As far as the movie itself goes, yes, it's Nicholas Sparks, and yes its got a few cheesy parts, but overall, it way succeeded my expectations. Also, and I mean this from the most truthful part of my heart, Josh Duhamel is so f-cking hot.

Liberal Arts - What's not to like? The Olson Twin's lil sis? Ted from How I met your Mother? A love story? It's a cinematic recipe for greatness. Maybe I'm bias because I too received a liberal arts education. Go Augie!

Frances Ha - Ummm truthfully I haven't seen this yet. (I'm seeing it Thursday with Paige!) But Mindy Kaling rec'd it on twitter - so I'm extremely confident its going to be amazing, as is Mindy Kaling.

Anyone seen any of these gems? Thoughts? Comments? Feedback? Talk to me!

  2. haha... I thought Safe Haven was so bad... Not even Josh's majestic muscular formations or Julianne's cute hair chop saved it for me... Not that my expectations were high or anything:)

  4. I have been interested in Frances Ha - you need to report back! And I did not know about Leighton Meester/Adam Brody... Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen? I don't like it when my worlds collide like that. It's like watching Hart of Dixie and seeing Summer Roberts with Jason Street - all kinds of wrong!

    (And before I started blogging and tweeting, I spent my spare time watching TV, can you tell?)
