Saturday night in New York I had the pleasure of dining at Le Bernardin - arguably of the country's best restaurants. Given the prestige of the restaurant and the concrete runway that is New York, I dressed to impress in a frock I recently bought from, wait for it, Goodwill.
I had it tailored (shortened) so I think the total cost of the dress came in somewhere around $39 - precisely the cost per bite at the restaurant. Thanks Dad! Le Bernardin was easily the best meal I've ever had. Not pretentious or "frew frew" as I imagined upon hearing about all its Michelin stars - but just honest, insanely elevated, seafood that I'd become morbidly obese on given the opportunity.
The only thing more exciting than the meal was that sitting at the table next to ours was Jim Cramer from Mad Money. Not the sexiest celebrity in the world but still fun to creep on his conversation.
Cab drivers love it when tourists walk in to traffic to take "fashion pictures".
Have a good day everyone!
