Greetings from Washington DC!
I'm learning so much about this city. First and foremost there are three Ritz Carltons here! I know because I tried checking into the wrong one. Spoiler alert; I did NOT have a reservation in their Georgetown location.

The context of my trip is both business and pleasure.
My sister Julianna has a conference here (aka free hotel) starting tomorrow so I took it upon myself to not only join her but also extend an invitation to our cousin Jess who's pictured with me above. So seeing my fam is obviously pure pleasure!
It's a business trip though primarily in the sense that I'm expensing everything. But it's legit!!! I'm meeting with a web designer tomorrow that I work with for Mad Meg.

Jess and I couldn't believe our good fortune that we just happened to be in DC during the blossoming of the cherry blossoms, which, is a thing here.
Don't feel bad if you have never heard of this cherry blossom phenomenon - I hadn't either... Nor did I know what "state" DC was in but I've since been enlightened by a very friendly cab driver. The one who took me from The Ritz to The Ritz.....I think its safe to assume he thought my blonde ombre was my birth assigned color.
