Remember when I said I'd stop talking about New York? I lied.
Right before I left for NYC, I read in US Weekly about a blowout-ONLY salon, called DryBar. Celebs such as Whitney Port frequent the joint and blowouts are only $35. Um, where do I sign?
If it's in Us Weekly, it's legit. |
I immediately made myself an appointment in NYC's Flatiron District and the experience was as phenomenal as I'd hoped. I did have trouble choosing between the "Mai Tai" blowout that has beachy waves or the "Southern Comfort" style which is more about volume. I ended up going Mai Tai for no other reason than I had a bad experience with actual Southern Comfort in college.
Not only does Drybar have 13 locations, (including Dallas and Plano for my Texans), but they've agreed to sponsor the following giveaway. (Yay!)
So without further ado, let's get your free blowout on!
Giveaway Instructions:
1. Visit Drybar's site to pick out your fave blowout style.
2. Comment below on what that respective style is! (And your email address should you win!)
3. If you're not already, follow my blog with Google Friend Connect!
(Deadline for this giveaway is Wednesday, Nov. 9th at noon. I'll announce the winner shortly there after. Good luck!)

I like the Dry part. But that is not an option so I will go with the Manhattan in honor of your pilgrimage to the bar. That would be a Southern Comfort Manhattan.
ReplyDeleteI believe the Manhattan is most appropriate for a NY city trip. . . . . .

Mai Tai!
ReplyDeletei really enjoy your blog te place seems amazing indeed!
ReplyDeleteSo it's just a wash, blow-dry, and style? Because when I think blowout I think Brazillian blowout, the chemical styling process that uses formaldehyde. If it's the former, I'd get the Cosmo. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteshellbear@gmail.com
Golly you are one lucky lady for getting to experience such a wonderful blow out! You're right: if it's in US Magazine it's legit ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks ever so much for dropping by my blog and leaving such a sweet note, too! I appreciate it so very much :)
I like the Cosmopolitan... I can do a lot of things with my super tight curls, but I've never been able to magician them into those big, loose wavy curls. It's some sort of mystery to me!
ReplyDeleteYou never fail to amuse me, Megan! I love reading about your kooky adventures.

Yes Shelley, it's just a wash, dry, and style. No Brazilian blowout. Though if they did that, I assume they'd call it the "Gisele"?
ReplyDeleteThe Mai Tai. And perhaps there will be an actual Mai Tai afterwards...or before...whatever.
