Happy Mama's Day!

It's Mother's Day weekend! A big, happy Mama's Day to all you mamas out there...especially my own.

Or my mom, anyway. We'll see how proud she is at the conclusion of this post.

As perhaps best illustrated here or here my mom and I are pretty different. 

For example, my mom used to teach Special Ed. I, on the other hand, used to take it. (Just in math - don't judge! Math is lame. Know what's not? Calculators.)

We also differ in our taste in men, in that my mom's is better. Her very first boyfriend, who'd she'd never let me name, is now a very famous Hollywood actor. My very first boyfriend? Well, let's just say he's not famous.....or straight.

My mom and I also have polar opposites stances on the ideology of giving children allowance. Mostly in that I still think I should get one.

But despite our differences, we still make it work, right mom? Plus we both love George Clooney so that's something!

P.S. Remember last week when I posted about going to the Lackland Air Force Base and meeting some of the soldiers, specifically Exon and SrA Michael Malarsie? These two were on the front page of Yahoo yesterday with JR Martinez! Check it out here.  So inspiring! So great! And notice how Exon yawns not once throughout the video! So it was just me then......
