Texas Hat

I’m very lucky that all my friends and family are very supportive of my blog.  So much so that they occasionally pitch me ideas for posts.
My Uncle John, who owns a medical supply store in Tinley Park, Illinois was the most recent person to do so. This is the conversation we had at a family wedding last month;
Uncle John: Hey Meg! I have an idea for your blog.
Megan: Oh yeah Uncle John, what’s that?
Uncle John: Well at the store, we have these things called “Texas Hats.”
Me: Hmmm. I like it so far. Very much within my realm. Tell me more about these Texas hats.
Uncle John: They’re actually specimen pans! HA! But they’re called Texas Hats.
Me:  Oh my god!
Uncle John: Yeah! I can see you on your blog, wearing it on your head or something, you know?
Me: Oh my god!

And then less than a week later, this arrived in the mail.

 Though my favorite part about the “Texas Hat” was the paperwork that Uncle John sent along with it.

 Needless to say, I’ve never been more proud to be a Texan. Or my Uncle John's niece!

P.S.  Thanks Uncle John. Love you!

P.P.S.  If any of your live in Tinley Park IL and are in dire of need medical supplies you should totally go to Uncle John’s store. Actually if you are in dire need, maybe you should just go to the hospital? Yikes! But if you just need medical supplies, than Uncle John is your man!

P.P.P.S. Have any of you heard of these “Texas Hats” before?
