California Gurrrrl

Though I'm a Texan, I've always thought I'd make an awfully good California girl.  Maybe that's why I like this dress, gifted to me by C&C California, so much. It lets me channel the Cali girl inside me.

See? It's just a real chill look, no? For all you know, I just got back from the beach. Or a medical marijuana dispensary. Or both.

And this is where you realize you've been tricked!!  I'm actually wearing the dress backwards as I prefer the scoop neck in back. Maybe I'm just weird or maybe this dress is just that versatile. Or both.

I've never owned anything velvet before but I'm learning its incredibly easy to dress up or down. I plan to wear this to a holiday party with huge stilettos and big jewelry. But I could just as easily pair it with boots and a blazer to a casual dinner out, to say, oh I don't know, California Pizza Kitchen...
