Orange-Almond Salad

I'm not a food blogger. Honestly, I'd love it if I was. Because then I'd know what to say when I field the dreaded question, "oh you have a blog? what's it about?" 

I usually say something like "It's about me mostly....and my dog....and one time I wrote about speciman pans. "  and that usually shuts the conversation down pretty quickly, as it does the possibility of any type of friendship.

I'm so obsessed with this salad however, I feel compelled to share it with you. I've been serving it with frozen pizza (Digiornio) and red wine (Ménage à trois brand) but I'm sure it pairs nicely with what ever meal you have in mind. Get creative with it.

Orange-Almond Salad
*Recipe by my mom's friend, Debbie Stuessi whose permission I don't have to share with y'all but I feel like it will be fine.

-6 cups romaine (or really any type of lettuce you'd like)
-1 can mandrarin oranges
-slivered almonds (eyeball it)
-gorgonzola cheese (eyeball it)

Dressing  (this is what really makes it irresistable!!!)
-1/4 cup olive oil
-2 Tablespoons sugar
-2 Taplespoons malt vinegar
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1/8 teaspoon almond extract

I'm not going to go into how to make it because I feel like it's self explanatory. You mix the dressing, pour it over the salad portion, and toss it.....toss the salad.....(HAHAHA!)

And that concludes my attempt at food blogging. I promise not to do it again.
