MOVING WEEKEND

 

Goodbye Medical Center condo! Hello new home in Houston!

We Silianoffs moved this weekend and survived. Barely. I woke up this morning with a bite and after a thorough consult with Web MD learned its a brown recluse spider bite. These can be terminal. But enough about my imminent death, more about the move.

 

Allow me to walk you through the process..

Here the dog, baby, and I are waiting (in the dining room) of our new home for the movers to arrive!

Still waiting! This time in the living room.

Still waiting....This picks up in a minute, I promise!
 

Alas! Star Furniture arrives with our couch!

And then the appliances! I loved this guy!  Upon seeing I was photographing the process he hammed it up a bit which I appreciated!

 

Then the movers did their thing.

 

As did Booker. "His thing" being sprinting from window to window to obnoxiously bark at everyone in the house. It made an already hectic situation increasingly more hectic. Thanks Book!

Danny choose to unpack his bar first - shocker. He also choose to ignore my years of  advisement regarding wearing black socks with shorts.

This is the only picture I have of myself during the move. I'm gonna let you guess who took it. He was real proud of himself. Idiot.

*I'm getting lots of mileage of out my Nicki Minaj Halloween costume though, no?

 

Because our new house is close to one of Danny's offices, a few of his colleagues stopped over after work Friday to check out the place. Their conversations would occasionally turn to talking shop which sounded something like this;

Dorks. Keep bringing home that nerdy bacon though.

Thankfully they brought their wives and Danny's mom was over too.

All kidding aside I'm feeling incredibly excited, lucky, and grateful to be in this house. I still can't believe that we are - it seems too good to be true.

 

 

I'm really happy.
