A PARTY HARDY BOOK SIGNING

Saturday night during Texas Style Council is the time you get to put down your pen for a sec and drink a vodka tonic or two. This year I was trying to hustle my books at the party so I didn't get to socialize (or more importantly drink) like normal, but it was still a GREAT night.

 Good job honey.

I sold a bunch of books - many to friends including Jentine, though she insisted on signing it herself.

One of my favorite people ever, Michelle Pimm, bought one as well.

And my Houston homegirl, Brandi, (from Mucho Mucho Bueno Bueno) graciously bought a book.

Fortunately I didn't have to hustle my books throughout the entire party. I got lots of time to play as evidenced (is that a word? If its not, it should be) below.

Such good times and I'm missing all my blogger friends already. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table to chat and/or buy a book.  You made my night!

UNTIL NEXT YEAR! MUAH!

P.S. I posted tons more pics from the weekend on the Greetings from Texas Facebook Page. Check them out here.

  2. So, I read your book on the flight from Texas to Chicago and my biggest complaint is that it wasn't a bit longer because I finished it with time to spare. And I hate not reading when I am flying because then I am reminded that I am hurtling through the air.
    Anyways,
I liked it. A lot. I may or may not have wiped a steady stream of tears away nearer the end. I think you are a funny goof and that obviously comes through in the book but especially around the adoption, you got really poignant and reflective. I had no idea you went through all that (I mean, I knew some of the surface stuff but ya know...) and I think you had a damn good attitude. So finger snaps to you friend, finger snaps and slow claps.
