Twin Peaks

My husband and his friend, Rocket, went golfing this weekend. Afterwards they went to the restaurant, Twin Peaks, for lunch. For those of you who don't know, the waitresses at Twin Peaks look like this;

They seem nice.

I don't mind that Danny went to Twin Peaks. I mean, I assume they have amazing food -right? Why else would he go there?

In fact, I've even developed the desire to go myself. That's why every time I've driven past Twin Peaks this week, (4 times and counting) I've sent Danny a picture from my phone like this;

I took the picture sideways but I'm pretty sure he got the idea.
Especially when I edited in the arrow later.

And, it goes without saying, anytime the topic of dinner arises in our house, Twin Peaks gets my vote.

The only thing I don't understand about Twin Peaks is its name. I mean, Houston is actually pretty flat. Though, every time I ask Danny to explain it to me, he just smiles and says "I know what you're trying to do." He usually goes on to say something along the lines of "can you drop it now? It's not funny anymore." (Which is actually not true. If anything, I think its getting more funny.)

But to humor him, I've dropped it. Completely...in case that's not evident by this post.

  1. Looks a lot like the Hooters restaurants we have out here. Same classy atmosphere. Different uniforms.

  2. I've been to a Twin Peaks. The food isn't that spectacular, they are to BBQ and burgers what what Hooters is to hot wings. Most people don't really go for the food, they go for the eye candy. They do have decent happy hour specials though, and a lot of TVs for sports games and stuff. The one I went to was actually right across the highway from a Hooters and I used to work out at a gym very close to the restaurant. One Tuesday morning, there were a couple of girls in the locker room putting on their Twin Peaks uniforms (FYI, Tuesday morning is definitely home to the B Team of waitresses). At any rate, they were complaining rather loudly to each other about some Hooters girls that came over to Twin Peaks to advertise some special they were having for a football game that weekend. The Twin Peaks girls were very upset about Hooters girls on their turf. I had no idea there was so much drama in hottie waitressing.

  3. They are NOT that cute. My boyfriend and I went and I had more fun talking about how unimpressive they were compared to the photos on the walls. I'm all about getting what I paid for. And if I paid for good food and waitresses with big boobs to be extra nice to me, I want my moneys worth! Needless to say, they were not worth the money. And the food was okay. I prefer Hooters!

  5. Hahah that's cute! I just passed one today that said "scenic views" on the middle of a really busy part of town. I completely understand what they mean now!

  7. Hahaha! I love this post. It looks a lot like Brickhouse Tavern...where the girls are just as...umm...questionably attired, but the food is amazing.
