Houston Blogger Symposium Kick-Off Party

It was a very emotional and surreal weekend. I think Saturday, in particular (the actual day of the symposium), was one of the single best days of my life. That said, I'm not quite ready to put it into words and pictures for you just yet.  We'll save that for tomorrow.(My friend Kir, however? She's ready- read it here.)

Today I'd prefer to ease into things and tell you about Friday night's Symposium kick-off party which was equally fantastic! The kick-off party was at Langford Market in Rice Village but the "kick-off party to the kick-off party" was at mi casa. Friends/symposium cohorts, Paige and Kirsten,  were there to help with last minute organization details, among other things.

Primping, Preparing, and whatnot.

Danny snapped our pic right as we were running out the door to the party.

WHOAH! MY BAD! I must have uploaded the wrong picture. I'm SO embarrassed!

This is the picture I meant to upload. My computer must have a virus or something.

Here are a few pics from the party to give you a sense of how great it was! To check out the complete album, go to Paige Budde's site here.

And now this is the part where I thank people;

1. Thank you Davina Hirsch and Langford Market for hosting! It was perfect - truly.

2. Thank you to everyone who came. It would have been so embarrassing if nobody showed up and I'm not going to lie, I was mildly worried about the possibly of that happening. Obviously it couldn't have been further from the truth, so thank you. Genuinely.

3. Thank you to my Houston friends, who likely have no idea what blogging is, but came to support me anyway; Rocker & Jess, Brad & Charlotte, Kat Killa & Stryker, and Josh & Tina - I hope you guys had fun!
