BHLDN STYLE SHOOT

As I wrote about here on the Houston Wedding Blog, Danny and I eloped and therefore missed out on most of the wedding hoopla and traditions. Danny had been married once before and I’d been engaged, so we wanted to sneak away discreetly to tie the knot as, clearly, we’d had our fill of wedding related drama. =) So when this opportunity to do a style shoot with Awake and BHLDN arose we couldn't have been more excited. (I'm using the term "we" loosely. Danny was more like you want me to take off work for what?)

 

Although this was a style shoot and not a real ceremony it still felt genuine at times. Maybe because this Saturday is our 5 year wedding anniversary. Perhaps it was our personalized portrait by Linda from Though Very Humble . I have purchased a number of these in the past as presents so it was especially fun to see ourselves in the frame. Most likely it was the personalized touches Paige designed for the shoot. The tablescape, dessert table, and cake table were all adorned with vintage books. Not only did they bode well with our garden party theme but it felt especially fitting given that a while ago I SIGNED WITH A PUBLISHER FOR MY BOOK AND IT WILL BE RELEASED THIS AUGUST! More on that next week!
