Announcement - I recently recorded an episode for the I Was Just Saying That podcast and you can now listen to it here!
I Was Just Saying That is hosted by a hilarious ATX writer, Michelle Pimm, who interviews creative professionals and gets them drunk during the process. Michelle and I met way back when in the early days of Texas Style Council* and have followed one another's careers ever since. It was one of those classic situations where you hadn't seen someone in a long time but you pick up right where u left off.
*I just made this analogy up but I really like it. Texas Style Council is to a community of successful creative women today as Second City is to Saturday Night Live! Ha! But no?
We did the interview at the Four Seasons ATX which was very fancy and I'd like any future podcasts I do to be there as well. Or just any future anything. If I had all the money in the world I would not use it towards world peace but rather moving myself into the Four Seasons.
Michelle and I discuss my two new books, what I struggle with at Mad Meg, funny book recs, (spoiler alert, this is HILARE), Macy's adoption, open adoption in general, how we both take on too much, why I love Jay Z, and more - all while enjoying Trader Joe's finest sauvignon blanc.
